If you have uploaded work to other marketplaces, you can list the same files here without removing them anywhere else. We want to be clear about why, because it affects how you should think about using Picster.
The honest reason
We are a small, independent platform. Asking contributors to pull work from Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, or anywhere else in exchange for listing here would be an enormous ask with no proven upside for you. Exclusivity clauses make sense when a platform can guarantee meaningful volume in return. We are not in a position to make that guarantee, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
What we can do is offer straightforward terms and stay out of your way. You keep selling wherever you already sell. If Picster earns you something on top of that, it has done its job.
How the money actually works
Every sale on Picster runs through a credit system. One credit costs €0.10, and all prices are set and stored in euros. If a buyer is paying in Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars, or another currency, the amount they see is converted from the euro price at the live exchange rate at the time of purchase — no hidden markups on the conversion.
The commission split is a flat 50 percent to the artist on every transaction, no tiers, no thresholds to unlock a better rate. Buyers do not subscribe; they top up their credit balance once and spend it as they go. That means no recurring charges on their end and no artificial pressure to download things they do not need.
When you want to be paid, you request a payout directly from your in-app wallet. There is no waiting for a monthly processing window — you initiate it when the balance suits you.
What we do curate
Not having exclusivity does not mean anything goes. The featured queue — the work that gets prominent placement on the site — is reviewed by a person, not an algorithm sorting by upload recency or contributor tier. Getting featured comes down to the work itself.
That is the one area where we do make a judgment call, and we think it is the right one. A non-exclusive, open-listing policy combined with purely automated promotion would make the front page noise. Human curation is how we keep it useful for buyers and worth the attention for contributors whose work is genuinely strong.
The short version: list here alongside everywhere else you already list, earn 50 percent on each sale at €0.10 per credit, collect your earnings from the wallet when you are ready, and let the work speak for itself in the featured queue.
