Throne Beneath the Fly Tower

I found it shoved into the upstage corner of the scene dock, a gilt prop throne with one armrest missing, a moth-eaten ermine drape still pinned across the seat. The work lamp above the loading dock caught the gold paint at an angle that made it look genuinely royal for exactly the wrong reasons. This is the interregnum — the crown left on a chair no one is sitting in.
