Salt Crust, Morning, Before Anyone

The rain left three days ago and the flat has begun to close itself again — the surface cracking inward like a slow breath held too long. I set the tripod low, almost touching, so the geometry of the fractures fills the foreground and the sky becomes an afterthought at the very top of the frame. I am not in this one, but I was there.
