Rewind Bench, Curtain Still Down

The rewind bench in the sub-booth of a decommissioned single-screen in Brno — two spindles, a scatter of dried splicing tape curls, and a half-empty tin of cement gone to skin. I came back three Sundays before they sealed the building, shooting on 4×5 with the porthole cracked two inches, letting the grey February light from the alley do all the work. Nothing here has moved since the last projectionist locked up; I just waited for the exposure to find it.
