Residual Heat, Transformer Bay Three

Shot on long-exposure infrared film just after the evening load-shed, when the yard goes quiet but the iron hasn't agreed to cool yet. The transformer casing holds its heat like a secret — a slow amber halo bleeding outward through the cold air, the bus bars still faintly luminous against a steel-blue dusk. I keep coming back to the moment machinery stops working but the energy hasn't finished leaving.
