Repeat Fault, Roller Seven

This is a section of copper roller surface caught mid-run, where the engraved floral repeat has begun to walk — each successive impression drifting a half-millimetre off-register until the motif ghosts into itself. I worked the plate in stages, burnishing back the areas of clean registration so the slip reads as both damage and decoration. The lateral spread of the panoramic format lets the drift accumulate the way it would on a bolt of cloth: you have to travel the image to feel the error build.
