Razzle Panel, Cockerel, Sodium Bloom

This is the front fascia panel of a travelling razzle-dazzle stall — the painted cockerel that lords over the prize shelf, lacquered so many times the brushwork has become geological. I mixed the alkyd thin and let the bare aluminium breathe through the red so it carries that internal warmth you only get when the sodium lamps come up and the whole showground starts to vibrate. Forty years of touch-ups from three different hands are all in there if you look long enough.
