Moth Lanterns in the Hollow Fern

I found them gathered at the base of an old fern colony just before dawn — a dozen luna moths resting so still they looked like someone had hung paper lamps in the fronds. I wanted to hold that feeling of accidental ceremony, the way the forest arranges its own altars without asking permission.
