Moon Jelly, Upwelling Edge

I found this one hovering right at the thermocline, where the cold push of the upwelling catches the bell and holds it suspended — not rising, not sinking, just arrested in that indecisive dark. The gonads read violet through the translucent mesoglea, and the whole animal glowed like a lantern someone had left on by accident. I shot wide to keep the water column in the frame, the blackness pressing in from both sides.
