Gather Pulled to Thread, Afternoon

This is the thirty-second window when a gaffer draws the gather long and the molten glass goes from amber to a pale straw-yellow at its thinnest point. I was shooting from the side, close enough to feel the radiant heat on my forearm, waiting for the exact moment the strand went translucent against the dark far wall of the shop. Nothing about this color exists five seconds later.
