Galley Tray, End of a Long Run

This galley had been sitting on the back stone for weeks before I found it — a full take of 10-point text type still locked in, the slug lines slightly bowed from handling. I photographed it straight down under north-window light so every worn serif and chipped shoulder reads clearly, the lead going that particular blue-grey it gets when the alloy oxidizes. The tray's wooden frame is scorched along one edge from some older accident, and I left all of it in.
