Fire Escape Ending in Overcast White

I found this on the back of a textile warehouse in Łódź — the last landing just stops, the railing cuts left, and beyond it there is nothing but sky so flat it reads as wall. I waited for a worker to climb into that non-exit and he did, eventually. The grain on the negative ate his face and gave me back a silhouette, which is what I wanted all along.
