Chromatic Scale, Shallow End Wall
by Séverine Oduya
The depth markers are still there — black numerals stencilled into the ghost-blue paint, each one sitting above its own tidemark like a waterline that refused to leave. I set up the camera low and parallel to the wall so the numerals read as a sequence, a kind of music notation for water that isn't coming back. Shot in flat November overcast to keep the mineral staining honest.
